BTW- I wanted to tell you I have almost completed both the single and multiple subject work and have now taught high school and elementary students. I will be done in June. I believe you were unfamiliar with people taking both credentials. In California it means but one extra class (in high school methodology) and of course you need to pass the Praxis and SSAT in your subject. I have met several people who hold both credentials, and quite frankly in a year that looks to hold cutbacks in teaching positions, the more credentials one holds, the better the chances for employment. Your experience in your state may be different, but I would urge you in the future not to dismiss people as liars simply because they have information you may be unaware of.
