Ever used IFN's Infogate product? I have, and it sucks. It is easily replacable by Free-Edgar, which, as the name implies, is FREE. Infogate USED to cost 10 grand a year. They are now charging 5 grand. I am still inclined to give it up when the contract expires.

It is subject to enormous database problems, missing filings, a cranky and unreliable server system, and is generally unwieldy andpoorly designed. The number of subscribers is neglible. I think that Primark, the leader in this filed, paid 3 or 4 million to buy a larger competitor than Infogate a couple weeks ago.

If IFN is to be DBCC's salvation, the end is truly near. The stock is at least 5 dollars over valued with MKTW here, and is a rock solid foundation for any short portfolio. The only thing that keeps the longs hopeful is the ridiculous prices the shares traded for in the excitement of the pre-opening frenzy of MKTW. Any one paying north of 35 was explicitly paying over 300/share for MKTW. These same people continue to tout DBCC at 17.

Before you throw your money away, consider the source.
