Actually, from some secret sources, I am privy to, data exists that suggest that you are very close to the truth. inteL is about to release a 1,000 Gig chip. It twangs at a 1,000 Gigs using a built in oscillator that does little other than give readings of those very high operating frequencies. It also has some on chip functionless .001 micron features so that it can lay claim to those very small feature sizes, AGAIN SEIZING THE LEAD IN ANOTHER AREA , and...the ANALysts will love it. Never mind that a peEweEiiI 700 MHz sloth will actually perform all of the calculations. Once again, inteL will reclaim the speed as well as some other crowns never to lose them again.
