The market has rallied on positive consumer data. Oil is holding up. ST interest rates are still dropping. New high today for T-bills: quote.yahoo.com^IRX&d=t
Lots of mixed signals.

The stock market will lead the economy. It's making up it's mind now, but w/ a 99% probability of a recession- it can't decide if it's still too early to start re-flating.

Here's another interesting monkey wrench- The REIT index is threatening to break out of a long near perfect ascending triangle: stockcharts.com

Several of the RE stocks I watch have already broken out. If the rest follow- that certainly is not deflationary.
