Jack...

Online services haven't been around that long. Like I noted before, certain laws and measures do not translate well into this new online medium. A simple exercise in nexus issues for tax purposes illustrates my point. Where does nexus reside and how do states measure it? From servers? Modems? Customers? POP's? It is a big headache, and one that will not be resolved quickly.

These measures which you describe as indirect and inferential are your opinion. Things such as CHURN, SUBSCRIBER BASE, NETWORK CAPACITY/ACTIVITY, etc. all have a material affect on the business. AOL is pioneering on-line services. We are in uncharted territory. Obviously, you don't believe in such indirect and inferential measurements. So be it. I know that the big money on the street embraces it, and that is what counts.

Happy investing everyone.
