I agree. I too am greedy and would like to see intc get that last order for ppro and just barely ship it out at 11:59PM on Decmber 31st, with an auditor standing there with a stopwatch and clipboard. In a shortage situation there can be positive drivers, (eg strong demand), or there can be negative drivers, (eg problems in production). I believe the eveidence supports the former rather than the latter as the main driver in this shortage.

Worst case however would be if a shift in demand from pentium to pentium pro leaves a surplus of pentiums and not enough ppros to make it up. That could hurt earnings.
