Microsoft does NOT need to "swallow" AOL: it's too pricey.
MSFT has the brand name to start its own Internet/ Intranet service - if Bill Gates thinks that there is money in it over the long-term. Entry barriers to this kind of service are very low and start-up costs low. "It's the marketing, ...!" as they say.// CA

P.S. I visited several large-chain bookstores: the AOL for Idiots,
AOL Bible, etc.-type books are NOT selling. What does it tell you.
Unfortunately, the AOL anal-ysts on Wall Street have different marching orders re: AOL stock.
