Any idea what this news will do to SEEK shares tomorrow? (K-Tel split) I got a sell in and wonder should I cancel and ride it longer.

Jay, you didn't ask me, but...

1. SEEK's a long way from a split, so KTEL's split probably doesn't directly affect it. (I say that because KTEL probably declared the split because of the float issue, not because $fortysomething was too high a price to make a round lot.)

2. I have a feeling there's a certain amount of daytrading money that was directed at SEEK before and is now diverted to KTEL. Presumably this will continue, meaning SEEK is less likely to benefit from a speculative buying frenzy.

3. More important is to watch the performance of Internet stocks that reported their earnings on Tuesday (e.g., RNWK). At least two of them positively surprised the analysts, so we'll get a preview of whether people really are buying because of earnings.
