Thanks Bob. I have been doing a weak mechanization of this ever since you gave me the clue some time ago but I am not very clever with the nuances of word processing programs and I use Word rather than Word Perfect. I spend all my time in PageMaker (which is why I am not adept in Word).

I would like a copy of your macro instructions though as maybe I could figure out some of your details (i.e. I can get rid of the four spaces after each end of line return but have not figured out how to dump the the EOL character) I have never tried to use Windows macros before as I generally have had no need for repetitive activity (before) so I guess after this last time of bothering you I will dig into the subject.
