So you think that sex and violence in movies and print makes us a less moral society? I agree that it is certainly not a high point, but it depends on what you focus on. As I said, there are plenty of books that are best sellers that concern spirituality. You can just as easily focus on that.
We are a society that is concerned with other people's welfare as evidenced by the millions of dollars that are almost instantaneously raised for natural disaster relief. That is new to our society, and is a far greater measuring stick, IMO, than if using the fact that one person wants to watch the Bundy's reruns on TV instead of Touched by an Angel reruns.
For every piece of trash on Tv or in print, there are other fine shows and books. That is the what one gets with a free society.
If you think our era is immoral, show me a better one. but please remember, we are talking eras, not years or even decades, the history of man's morality is long and arduous, and a decade is not even a blip. Man's morality is on a consistent upswing through history, but it is not a straight line. It is full of blips and beeps, but the trend line is consistently upwards.....
