GENERAL

The Red Lake belt is world renowned for its high grade gold deposits that have produced approximately 20 Million ounces since 1930. Goldcorp is currently producing gold at an average grade greater than 2.0 ounces per ton at its Red Lake Mine.

Through the acquisition of interests in four separate properties, Wolfden has assembled a land package that makes it the largest holder of “Mine Trend” geology in the prolific Red Lake greenstone belt aside from Placer Dome (including Claude/Madsen JV) and Goldcorp. “Mine Trend” geology is considered to consist of the altered and folded rock units proximal to a regional unconformity in the Red Lake area.

"The majority of gold deposits in the Red Lake district

The majority of gold deposits in the Red Lake district are proximal to a regional angular unconformity between the Balmer and Confederation assemblages." (Geological Survey of Canada: Sanborn-Barrie et al., 2001).

Only 3,000 ounces of gold, or less than 1% of the total gold production in Red Lake, has come from deposits outside this unconformity.
