Switching topics.....From the right wing [sarcasm] Nando times..... nandotimes.com Politics: White House drops plans to exempt religious groups from gay, lesbian anti-discrimination laws White House spokesman Dan Bartlett said senior administration officials reviewed the matter over the course of the day and concluded that religious groups do not need overt protections in order to bypass gay-rights hiring laws. **************************** And they say that the Admisitration can't tap dance... What's really encouraging [sarcasm] is that Dan Bartlett is saying the the Administration is quite conformtable with the notion that religious groups can find ways to discriminate against gays and bypass State laws prohibiting the practice. They don't particularly want to phrase it exactly that way; but that's the message from White House spokesman Dan Bartlett. jttmab
