I hate to tell you, but many of the current digital cameras have much longer than 6 second delays between shots. Most have flash or smartmedia yet they have big differences in time between shots. Therefore, the actual transfer rate must only be a small part of the total dead time. My guess is that the speed in processing the image is much more important. IOM's solution will be adequate for most uses.
