Hersch is a HERO Seymour Hersch is an outstanding reporter with enormous credibility. I am sure that he has made his share of mistakes. The attempt by the host of this thread to malign his reputation is inexcusable. The host of this thread uses Bush's denial of any US plans to neutralize Pakistan's nuclear capability, in the event that Pakistan becomes destabilized, as proof that Hersch was wrong. This is so laughable because it is hardly likely that Bush or any other president is going to acknowledge a contingency plan such as this, if one existed.
