Fine with me. Any number of mechanisms are workable. MacWeek's Don Crabb is calling for a Mac Advertising Consortium.

Power's direct sales business model offers advantages dealing to corporations but they need AAPL's user and software base, continued r&d and brand name recognition.

I think AAPL and Power will come to some kind of accomodation. I can't see Power going *totally* Wintel without also selling MacTel to differentiate themselves. I also think they'll need to offer PowerPCs to attract the high end market.

Before Power, CEO Steven Kahng ran Leading Edge, making Intel clones. They (I believe) are out of business.
