Norm, I just spotted this post. I have already accepted Jerome's apology. He says he was quoting his buddy's letter from that time period and in war, all nations dehumanize the enemy. Jerome has held on to his bigotry for a long time. I suspect he is rethinking it now in light of the fire storm it caused. He is too smart a man to hold these views. He needs to let go of the past. If we all accept that war and hatred are the true enemy of "Man" we can all live in peace. You acted viscerally to an anti-Chinese post. On this same thread, maybe 6 months ago an anti-semite appeared(Wm Michaels) and I, as a Jew, reacted just as you did so I know how it feels. Be on the lookout for Jerome. Even after your hostile exchange with him, I think we will ultimately have another convert from the "dark side" and we will all be able to sit down and have a beer. Mike
