Jacques: It is okay to name names. I did not bash the NC in particular just the concept that an out of touch IS manager was going to make all of my computing choices for me and shove them up my @!!#@. Andy Grove according to his book doesn't discount any threat. He makes the point that a 10X change doesn't occur at the flip of a switch but can creep up gradually. Sure he's hedging bets, but the litany of stories about nc's we are going to see all week doesn't mean the nc has arrived as a new paradigm in corporate network computing. (Not yet anyway).
