If I understand your question correctly, its that you wan't to be notified when email arrives while browsing, (Yes/No).

If the answer is yes, follow this procedure.

Startup Outlook
From the menu bar click onto "Tools"
Now click onto "Options"
Now click onto the "General" tab if it is not the first one displayed
Now you have a choice of General Settings
Checkmark the box entitled "Check for new messages every X minutes", choose a frequency
Checkmark the box entitled "Play sound when new message arrives"
Click "Apply" and exit.

Of course if your web browsing you will have already started Outlook then minimized it.
Now when you receive mail, a chime will annouce receipt of an email,(Speakers on I presume) and a envelope icon should appear on the right hand side of your taskbar.

Experiment with the options provided with Outlook, its very versitial.

Let me know how things work out
