Looks like the same font and size to me on both sites.

OK - seems the problem is with Opera. With IE I get approximately the same number of subjects per page on both sites, whereas with Opera I get substantially fewer on the new site. I can manually dial down the zoom in Opera, but that's a real pain as it effects other sites as well.
