I am a Republican. I posted American talking points.

If you believed Bush when he said "our budget will run a deficit that will be small and short-term" then you deserve him. (Jan 30, 2002)
whitehouse.gov

If you believed Bush when he said "Because we acted, our economy has been growing at rates as fast as any in nearly 20 years." then you deserve him.
George W. Bush, August 28, 2004
prnewswire.com

NOTE: The first statement was mendacious, the second was a flat out lie. Here is the data:

The economy grew at 2.8% annual rate in Q2.
The economy grew at 3.6% annual rate over last 6 months.
The economy grew at 3.8% annual rate over last 9 months.
The economy grew at 4.7% over the last year.

The economy grew at 4.9% ending in the second quarter of 2000. That is just 4 years ago. What is Bush talking about? The economy grew as "fast as any in nearly 20 years"? Nonsense.

I could destroy Bush in a similar manner on every point I made. Open your eyes.
