I don't think there was anything in your post worth banning you :)>.

What we know about poverty.

First, there is a perfect correlation between number of years of school and amount one will earn in their life time.

So free public education from pre school through college will help income inequality greatly.

Two, research at Stanford and Columbia has shown that by the time a rich kid is five the poor kid is operating at age three intellectually.

Then they went back to see what the variables were and it was the amount of words spoken in the house. And I would add the fact most of the rich and academics make sure their kids go to pre school which gives them a leg up.

Think of how that poor kid feels about themselves when they enter kindergarten and the rich kids do so much better-- because they have already been to school for two years.

So free public education.

Three, having parents that have college degrees I am sure helps the kids a lot. Most of my generation's folks did not go to college, but those of my generation that did figure it out, sure made sure their kids went as well.

Free public education.

Forth, the uneducated don't often know how to help their kids academically or cannot afford it.

My old daughter is a lawyer and her husband teaches physics at a north western university. In their household it is education all the time, day and night.

Fifth, social science knows social programs to help the poor also help them do better in life.

And last, research has shown, that free public education is advantageous to a society. A study of head start found that for every $1 spent they get $30 back in reduced crime and increased productivity.

cheers
