Stress takes a lot more out of us than we realize.

Many years ago I had a herniated disc (operated on and fixed now). It made me realize a lot of things that were going on with my body. One of the things that it did was to make me take note of stress. I could be at a meeting at work and I'd say one thing and someone else would disagree and propose something different. The post-op herniated disc was very sensitive to muscles tensing and stress. And I'd get jolts of pain when things like that would happen. This was very surprising to me because by no means was I taking it as an argument. This was just us discussing different perspectives. Nonetheless the stress would register on my body. I imagine that we all go through a ton of that everyday. It's just that while things are great we don't feel it. But it doesn't mean it has no impact on us.
