Peg - I've been real happy with Datek for Nasdaq trades.

It's fast and simple. If they have to split an order to fill it, they only charge you one commission. And I can do bull/sell stops on Nasdaq stocks at Datek (but not on NYSE stocks - i.e. the opposite of Fidelity and Lombard). And you seem to get your trading $$$ credited immediately when you sell (Fidelity is 1 day, Lombard is 3 days!)

I find their web site performance to be reliable and generally fast. They did get bogged down some in the October '97 "crash", but they added two more servers the NEXT DAY - very quick response to the problem.
