harry: yeah, i agree with you - first hit will be dumb terminal market. i certainly wouldn't want one to use thought, but on the other hand i'm not some data entry clerk... but if you got some giant database with 100's of data entry people, then why not. but for regular power users - what if u just wanna do some spreadhseet work or programming and the n/w goes down? you're screwed! as for SUNW - i was wondering if Java was sort of a diversion to screwups in sparc chip upgrades. but so far - they're doing well. but - SUNW IS putting lots of energy in high end work stuff. the java net pcs are just another venue to utilize their servers even more... i actually see it as a complement to their business.
