How about Dusty Baker and his comment that black players take the heat better than white players? Is that broad brush statement racial or racist? Do people even stop to consider the difference?

Rush IMO was wrong to pick on Donovan because he was probably the BEST example of a black quarterback from all aspects, both on the field and off. He may have a point of view that the league and media are struggling with getting the "correct" number of coaches and "skill position" players and sometimes underplays their day to day and week to week faiilures. He may be referring indirectly to the disparate conduct of the league towards teams regarding interviewing black coaches and how it is only perception that is punished. His best point is that the Philadelphia defense(they are very good) is the reason for the team's success, not the play of Donovan McNabb, although again, I think facts prove him wrong but at least it's an opinion that is typically and commonly discussed in football and not one that is racist simply because the QB is black.
