Polls Suggest My Position Is In The Majority In Canada.
theglobeandmail.com
with nearly 10,000 votes in, the numbers are two to one in favour of waiting for the commission report before an election is called.
In the National Post , the polls show about even, unfortunately , the post neglects to disclose the numbers of people who have voted , therefore rendering it somewhat useless. But the Post is very much to the right of center, so even in that poll there doesn't appear to be a huge outcry for an election.
I honestly believe Harper's supporters are not yet confident of a majority win.I think they see another minority govt. , but with Harper at the helm.
Like CC says, endless minority Govts. , with the chance of the bloc-heads gaining momentum in their quest for separation.
At this juncture , I believe a separate Quebec might just emerge from this. What the Quebecers don't fully understand is that the US will have little interest in supporting their independence,as this will backfire on any politician seen as supporting the French after what happened during the Iraq invasion marketing campaign.
Freedom fries?
Not even close.
If Canada is divisible - Quebec is divisible.
I think I would like to live in this new area created from the division of Quebec, as I'm sure many others would.
It may not be such a bad idea after all!
