Dave:. I saw it as an IBM suggestion to AAPL to act swiftly IBM's Thompson had put down rumors about acquiring NOVL , the topic of his interview, then mildly commented on AAPL's OS licensing. IBM has both hardware (PowerPC) and software (Mac OS license) riding on AAPL . I suspect IBM wants to get on with its products . The deal with PWRC removes the diversion of a public OS fight, possibly a failed PWRC IPO and more one-sided negative press . Regards, Jim K.
