IMF's managing director Koehler was talking the opposite of what Greenspan was telling. That could not continue.

Yesterday he resigned and is going to be President of Germany. Koehler resignation is one result of the visit of Schroeder to the US a week ago.

It could be the case that Schroeder remove Koehler, who was making Greenspan look silly and the US gave a respite to the Euro in retribution for the head of Koehler.
