Joe,
I deal with Wal-Mart, Walgreens and other national chains on a local basis as a sales rep. The use of UPC codes are essential to the transfer of goods and tracking. Retailers want to have a good flow of product and be able to track this product, but if you've ever dealt with a national chain, they don't want to pay, they always have the feeling that it's the responsibility of the suppliers.Kind of silly but that's the way it is. My guess that within a year, you'll see either a retailer budge or a publisher budge. Once this happens, everything should start to go a lot quicker. As Leslie told me in our conversation, if you would have asked me a year ago about the front end, I couldn't give you any success, but here we are, one year later with another market, and a huge potential for other companies. IMO, this will happen in the UPC arena, just be patient. IMO, the company has enough potential in the front end area and their other areas to propell their earnigs, UPC is just icing on the cake. |
