When I first got to know anything about Stock Markets and investing in Public Companies, it was, to me, Obvious that the Primary Aim and Objective was to MAKE MONEY as often and as much as possible.

I would say that it was also the Primary Objective of Benjamin Graham who most folk who regularly partake in the "Value Investing" Board generally admire and who's Investing Modus Operandi they follow.

So it has always puzzled me why the Board's Moderator, Paul Senior, is so often intent on not only "Holding Onto" LOSING positions, but often BUYING MORE of those LOSING stocks as seen in these examples -->

There's no doubt that anyone, myself included, can buy a stock in the belief that its price will rise, but then it doesn't and its price declines. So it's most likely that we would sell the stock before things got worse. I very much doubt that we would buy more as its price continues to fall !!

If, for some reason, one had faith in the company and believed that ultimately its price trend would reverse, then it seems more logical and prudent to rather wait until that price reversal was confirmed and one could then re-invest in the stock with its now positive uptrend.

Anyway, just saying ............
