It's the difference between digital and analog.

Mr. Moose,

I would suggest going back up this thread a bit and re-read some of the posts explaining the difference between digital GaAs and analog GaAs. The markets do not overlap, and VTSS, a digital GaAs company, is not a clone of the analog companies ANAD or TQNT. In fact, VTSS does not compete with ANAD or TQNT. Vitesse serves the high-speed SONET market in telecommunications and Fiber Channel and Gigabit Ethernet markets in datacommunications. The other two battle it out for the cellular phone business. VTSS has book-to-bills of around 1.2 quarter after quarter and practically no competition. The risk with VTSS is that they can't get their new fab on line fast enough to handle all the business.

High book-to-bill, improving margins, fast growing sales, strong balance sheet, little competition and high barriers to entry = higher P/E.
