As you know I support and champion free markets. However, in certain markets where there is limited sourcing, I get concerned when circumstances are exploited for unearned profit. There is no question this has happened in oil/gasoline. Unfortunately, oil company oversight is beyond the competence of government officials.

Nevertheless, any government official truly interested in helping people deal with high energy costs can start with the taxes on energy and the restrictions on creating more supply. All other discussion on the issue is merely empty bloviating.
