Hi Gibbons, Welcome to the thread as a trader. Wishing you the best of luck, even better the best of connections <g>, in the next phase of your career.

I would like to optimize the cache settings, both for server load and computer load. I understand these setting determine how long a chart is kept in ram. While the chart is setting in ram how is the program handling new info during trading hours? Is it bringing in just the new data and letting the cpu add and refresh the chart? Does it bring in a whole new copy every so often? Does raising the numbers in the cache reduce the server load or have any effect on the accuracy or timeliness of the info displayed? I have 128MB ram, should I raise that to 256MB?

Up until the recent discussion I have just left them at default. What are the criteria for determining where best to set them?

My normal trading screen has a stacked L2, a daily, 60', 15', and 5' chart all of the same stock. I also have one small 10' chart of a second stock, a small portfolio (20 stocks, usually not visible), a T&S, and a quote box with about 10 indexes in it. Is that a heavy load? Should I have a less demanding setup during critical trading times?

Your time and efforts are most appreciated, Thanks. KK
