Nulldog, I am glad you mentioned the smuggling of guns into the US. I have discussed this on other web sites and am constantly amazed at how stupid some are. My friends included. Take you average liberal arts major who can barely change the tire on his car yet indulges in marijuana and believes that if we only banned guns they would all disappear. In a large country such as the US, where you have the ability to buy machinery and supplies of all types, it will prove impossible to stop the indigenous manufacture of weapons, let alone smugglers. I have seen and fondled weapons made in hidden jungle shops in the Philippines. Some are clunkers, but some are exceedingly well made Colt style 45s. At least with grass and coke the dogs can sniff it out. How do you sniff out steel components smuggled in steel trucks, cars, freighter, etc?? The technology is over 100 years old, the cat is already out of the bag.
