8:52AM SG Cowen on Flat Panel Displays : Firm positive on growth in the sector; notes that DisplaySearch has significantly increased its C01 estimates for flat panel displays which is a positive for Genesis Microchip (GNSS) and Pixelworks (PXLW). Q4 LCD monitor shipments now expected to be about 6 mln units which is up 40% quarter over quarter and well above the previous estimate of 4.9 mln units. LCD controller units expected to increase 30% sequentially; notes both GNSS and PXLW had guided for flat sequential results.
