Woody, all I am saying is what I have done with my investments, and everyone can decide for themselves if this the right thing for them or not. I'm glad that you and your wife decided to stay with DGIV, but as with all of us, we have to do our own DD and decide for ourselves.
For me, I have found several 2 and 3 baggers over the last few months, and sold them to buy more DGIV. Of course, I also found some losers, but I don't keep those very long. My threshold for pain is about 25% loss, unless it is because of MM shenanigans, then I hold while they hurt -- as long as the company is fundamentally sound, like DGIV. But if I sense there is something fundamentally weak with the company and that is the cause for the drop, the I sell.
My investment strategy over the last several months has been to load the bases in promising tech stocks, find the ones that are popping, then consolidate down to several and run with the one winner.
This is not a new strategy, nor is it mine. If you read "The Gorilla Game," that is what they advocate for tech stocks, except they like to enter later in the game than I do. I feel that I know technology, so I can afford to enter earlier in the game. Oh, I forget who it was who liked my use of the term "tornado," as in DGIV is in the middle of the tornado. Whoever it was that said that, yeah that is a good term but I can not take credit for it, it also comes from that book.
Anyway, as I was saying I have been consolidating. Made 2-3 baggers in RNWK, VNWK, GMGC, and a few more. But the more I looked at DGIV the more I sensed that this is ground zero for the tornado, and even though I don't like to make predictions, I am looking for a 100+ bagger. This is just my own prediction, though -- I am not employed by DGIV, have never spoken with Jimmy Chin -- but I do get that loving feeling :-)
The only thing I was not expecting was for this to occur so quickly. It happened so quickly that I had to make a lot of buy/sell decisions in a very short time. I would not have been able to make those decisions on my own DD, not enough time. So I have relied on others here that I trust, I don't have to name them.
So what I offer as a way of giving back to the thread is some opinion, some techy stuff, some philosophy, some questionable humor, some FOOLery (hehehe) and a little stewardess grab-assing. That ain't all bad, right?
