Motorola Signs Wireless Prepaid Distribution Agreement With Boston Communications Group October 23, 1997 7:05 AM EDT
WOBURN, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 23, 1997--Boston Communications Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: BCGI) today announced that it has signed an agreement with Motorola, Inc. through its Latin America Division of its Cellular Subscriber Sector for the marketing and distribution by Motorola (NYSE: MOT) of BCG's prepaid calling systems and services in Central America, South America and Puerto Rico.
With this two year agreement, BCG and Motorola will work together to market the BCG Vision Platform(TM), a voice processing platform for the provision of prepaid wireless and enhanced services to wireless subscribers. The Vision Platform is a turn-key system which enables carriers to penetrate untapped market segments, such as subscribers who cannot or will not use post-pay services. Boston Communications Group is the dominant provider of prepaid wireless services to the wireless industry.
