it depends how one looks at mcd....this is one where you wouldnt buy based on a value line.....when buffett bought coke he probably wouldnt have if he just looked at value line.....not many people talk about it in the press but his rationale was something like this from what i have read and talked with people.....if ko could raise profit from .2 cents to 1 cent long term and continue even moderate growth then the company would make a fortune.....with the new ceo they have done this well.....remember he bought coke at 29 times earnings......with a growth rate below this......this is his genius coming out.....he understands the intangibles......

personally, i am elated.....we have been buying mcd for about 2+ yrs...honestly i have often wondered if he would buy mcd....i mean they are married to ko......so i am happy to see him owning mcd......

imho, this is how i look at mcd....they have a formula for expanding mcd....it has to do with population and currency adj gross incomes for a country......i have the article at home somewhere.....fortune.....??
anyway if the emg mkts etc. never grow further.....right now the formula from my estimates and a guy at mcd shows we could go from 17,000 stores to 31,000 stores.......there you go.....you dont find this in value line.......remember i could be wrong but that is compelling in my opinion......
