Dear all,

AOL is a community. Chat rooms, where a lot of people can just talk to each other, is an important concept, especially in a cocooning society (Faith Popcorn made books on the subject). You can always go there and meet friends (in a much bigger way than SI, where you can still feel the concept). When communities grow and get too structured, they may go over the Net (like Motley Fool, or may be Geocities), but AOL is a constellation of small communities (another book, NetGain, by John Hagel, explains the marketing concept). Its not only surfing the Web and reading e-mail !

Regards and good luck to all. In a sense, may be I shot myself in the foot, swapping greedily AOL to EGRP just before the CSRV deal <g>...
