Qualcomm CEO Sees Continued Growth In Wireless NEW YORK -- Irwin Jacobs, chairman and chief executive of Qualcomm Inc. (QCOM), is excited about the future. In a CNBC interview Tuesday, Jacobs said, "We're looking forward to wireless Internet access, which I think is going to be particularly great for the wireless industry." Concerning the markets' recent undulations, Jacobs said, "It'd be nice if we didn't have this type of volatility, but it's a fact of life and one needs to look at the longer term." -K.
