John, American Spirit is right when he says that Weld and Kerry waged an epic battle. However, since then some of the fire seems to be gone from Kerry's belly. There was a period when Kennedy was fairly dismissive of Kerry. As Kennedy's ambitions have cooled, that phase passed.
