There are no industry standards for video over today. MSFT and RNWK are pushing their proprietary implementations. If industry giants get together and converge on a standard that will make WMT and G2 less interesting. The PC as the de-facto personal interface to the net is the bigger issue... and most believe that it won't be that way for long. Coupled with this is newer devices that are not Windows based.

For example, you'll be buying DSL service from your carrier which will include not only the modem but the "PC" or internet device as well... these devices will not be Windows based IMO. By definition they'll need to be inexpensive OS's
