If you want to day trade spend a little more for a better broker. They don't cost that much more...maybe $30-40 per trade. The benefit is that they always pick up on the first ring and you never get a busy signal. My friend who uses one was very happy during last October when he was able to trade when others couldn't even connect with their broker.

Nevertheless, Webbroker performance is steadily going downhill.
