Jorj - Seems to me there are three reasons why you don't see it, and one conclusion.

The first reason is that you haven't waited long enough. The real effects of the meltdown are just beginning to be felt and these are long term effects.

The second reason is that you are looking in the wrong place. You won't ever see a cash flow impact in the earnings statement. Uum... that is, it won't be identifiable as such.

The third reason is immortalized in the words of Paul Simon: "... still, a man sees what he wants to see and disregards the rest...". So you won't see it until you admit the possibility it could happen and go looking for it.

The conclusion is that those who do know what to look for will profit from those who don't.

If you re-read Jay's post it quite elegantly summarized all three points tucked into the conclusion. This guy is sharp!

John.
