Re: Number of horsemen The "four horsemen" (SUNW, ORCL, EMC, CSCO) was the popular talk last year but curiously one of the horsemen (EMC) now talks about there being three (EMC, CSCO, and ORCL) and it seems clear that they are really driving for two (EMC and CSCO). Beyond the shifts in fashion this speaks as much to the intensity of the competition occurring at the highest levels of the industry. In the Internet age no franchise is assured. Vigilance is required of every investor no matter how "dominant" their favorite horse seems to be at the moment.
