ISDN is going to be annihilated by the cable companies.

Already here in Palo Alto, you can arrange to get a 10MBps incoming
link direct to your house over the existing TV cable (using one of
the unused channels on the cable system).

ISDN may have had a chance if it had become wildly popular 5 years
ago, but the future lies with the telephone and cable companies.
