I just read the comment of Pepsi that was issued with its quarterly report. In it one can read that the firm is considering repatriating foreign earnings and thus taking advantage of the benefits, the government is offering.
Does this not mean that they will sell foreign currencies to buy dollars to send home? And if they are not alone in doing this, more dollars than usual will be bought on the market and that alone should result in helping the dollar increase in value. How much effect this will have is the question. Your thoughts on this subject would interest me. Fred
