I'm with you on the idea of waiting till after 10 has been out for a while. Horror stories like that I can live without. I'm not volunteering to be their crash-test dummy.

I skipped Vista because of hearing about similar bad experiences. I went direct from XP to 7. Like them both. Liked 98 too back in the day. I still have XP on a home machine because our office still uses an old DOS program developed in-house in the early '90s. Plus, if I want to run some legacy program, it's nice to have around. The only thing is the machine isn't suitable for the internet, too much graphic content for that old Dell to process easily.
