Obama is doing for energy exactly what I voted for him to do. It is high risk, but if it is successful, it will give the US a competitive edge for the century to come. I hope he can build enough momentum in the next 8 years that it will sustain itself, even if Republicans come back to power. That's a monumental challenge.

Think of all the infrastructure spending and tax incentives that our government has spent on oil and coal. That will have to be replicated for renewable energy and many people, as evidenced by this thread, don't have much stomach for it.
