Rationally I agree there must be a correction. However if it is a gradual correction, with massive changes in ownership, then the new funds did buy at the top, and will be unlikely to exit precipitously, especially if that feeds a down trend. In effect the funds become a massive buffer for stock stability, and as long as they have money and low levels of redemption they are OK. When you get excessive redemptions causing sales at any cost, then a downward cascade can occur. like a run on the bank. However so many people are long term trenders with $$ is managed retirement accounts, that this will be minimized. In addition there will a re-enty into junior mines as gold gets glossy again with the fall/softcrash.
